2017 Nebraska MTNA Performance and Composition Competitions Results

The Nebraska state level of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) performance competitions were held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha on October 12-13, 2017. Compositions were judged prior to that date by an online process.

(NOTE: The winners and representatives in the Nebraska state level of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) performance/composition competitions advance to the West Central Division (WCD) performance competitions to be held at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA on January 12-14, 2018.  The composition winners were determined earlier by an online process.

2017 NMTA State Performance Results Competitions Winners

Sixteen pianists competed for awards at the 2017 NMTA Performance Competitions held Saturday, October 14 at Nebraska Wesleyan University.  Marvin Blickenstaff, nationally recognized piano teacher who was also the principle lecturer at the NMTA Conference, adjudicated students for the Junior, Senior and Collegiate Piano Divisions of the competition.
